Retired miner was life member of Nemacolin VFC
He was born October 18, 1923, in Pricedale, a son of Frank and Mary Bialko.
Mr. Bialko served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 of Waynesburg.
He lived most of his life in Nemacolin, where he was a retired coal miner with 42 years of service at Nemacolin Mine and a member United Mine Workers of America Local 6290.
Mr. Bialko was a life member of Nemacolin Volunteer Fire Company, where at one time he served as president. For many years, he served as a board member of King Coal Association.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, taking care of flowers at Bialko's Rest Home in Waynesburg, hunting and the outdoors.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Alice Carter Bialko; a daughter, Peggy Walters of Rices Landing; a son, Michael Bialko of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Connie, Cynthia and Elizabeth Walters and Nicholas Bialko; and a great-granddaughter.
Deceased are a daughter, Judith Diane Bialko; two sisters, Sue Eustice and Mary Grisbach; and four brothers, Frank, Mark, Joe and Steve Bialko.
