Member of Our Lady of Consolation Parish
She was born December 18, 1923, in Crucible, a daughter of Albert and Mary DiFigio Roman. Mrs. Berardi resided in Cumberland Township all of her life and was a 1941 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels.
She was employed in her early life at Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg. Mrs. Berardi was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Nemacolin and the Rosary Society of the church; and also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 816 of Rices Landing.
Her husband, Hugo J. Berardi, whom she married August 20, 1944, in Fort Meyers, Fla., survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David V. Berardi of Alexandria, Va., and Hugo J. Berardi of Carmichaels; two daughters, Maria B. Lawrence of Reston, Va., and Bernadette B. Kramer of Hobe Sound, Fla.; six grandchildren, John and Paul Hunter, Christian and Morgan Berardi and Elaine and Meghan Wood; a brother, Robert Roman of Warren; seven sisters, Florence Otto of Tower Hill, Lillian Patrick of Brownsville, Julia Cvetan of Crucible, Rose Hoover of Denbo, Ann Bendt of Baltimore, Md., Rose Marie O'Brochta of Mentor, Ohio, and Mary Jane Bohlman of Sugarland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Jacobucci.
