In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Joseph Michael Crackovich, II on January 6, 1988; three brothers, Vincent Crackovich, Michael Crackovich and John Roberts; and three sisters, Suzanne Doerr, Anna L. Morofsky and Mary Webber. He was the last remaining member of his family.
Mr. Crackovich was a member of the Saint George Maronite church and a 1930 graduate of German Township high school. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council of Carmichaels, the Hutchison Sportsmen's club and Fayette County's baseball Hall of Fame. Mr. Crackovich was a mine foreman and worked for US Steel for over 45 years. Surviving are his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Benko Crackovich; two daughters, Patricia Ann Campbell and Gloria Jean Lofstead, both of Uniontown; two grandsons, Joseph Patrick Campbell and Daniel Alan Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Campbell, Eden Ann Campbell, Victoria Campbell and Joseph A. Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Dolfi Funeral Home, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday until 10:30 a.m., at which time the journey will begin to St. George Maronite Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Christopher J. Henderson as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.
