Charles Glisen, 33, of Brownfield was traveling east on Route 21 when he struck a vehicle driven by Anna Roberts, 81, of Hiller at around noon on Friday (03 March 1989).
Police said Roberts failed to yield the right-of-way as she was pulling from Route 166 in an attempt to enter Route 21 in German Township. Police said Roberts suffered serious injuries as a result of the mishap and that she was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Police said Roberts was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the mishap and that Glisan had his seatbelt on.
Anna E. Roberts of Hiller died Thursday (09 March 1989) in the Allegheny General Hospital.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Katherine Garofalo of Brownsville, Josephine Hauptmann of Beverly Hills, Fla., Larry Stultz of Canonsburg, Louis Stultz of Dearborn, Mich., Frances Rockwell of Harrisburg, Marie Evans of Erie and Dorothy Burns of Poland, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held Saturday under the direction of the Skirpan Funeral Home, Brownsville.
